Heel Pain Assessment

Heel Pain Assessment at Ace Feet in Motion

Heel pain can make walking, working and exercising difficult—and its cause is not always obvious. At ACE Feet in Motion in Cardiff, our HCPC-registered podiatrists assess your symptoms, foot function and movement to identify the likely cause of your pain and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.

What does the Heel Pain Assessment include?

Your assessment includes:

  • A discussion about your symptoms, medical history and activity levels
  • A review of your work, sport, footwear and any previous treatments
  • Clinical examination of the heel, foot, ankle and lower limb
  • Assessment of joint movement, range of motion, muscle strength and function
  • Observation of how you stand and walk
  • 2D dynamic pressure analysis to help us assess movement, function and areas of increased pressure
  • A clear explanation and summary of our findings
  • A personalised treatment plan based on your assessment

Depending on your findings, your treatment plan may include footwear advice, activity modification, strengthening exercises, shockwave therapy or orthotic therapy.

Appointment duration: 30 minutes
